The latest Temple Run mobile game
Temple Run: Legends is an arcade game from developer Imangi Studios LLC. It is the latest entry to the long-running series of endless runner games, Temple Run. This new installment has players run, jump, and swim through dangerous waters and pathways while collecting gold coins and aiming for the highest scores.
Compared to its predecessor, Temple Run 2, the new Temple Run: Legends boasts updated graphics and multiple game modes to enhance the classic gameplay and retains the intuitive swipe-based controls. This game is exclusive to Apple Apple Arcade subscribers.
Return of a classic
Temple Run is one of the longest-running game franchises that helped popularize the endless runner sub-genre. It featured intuitive controls and a simple yet addictive gameplay loop that had players coming back for "one more run." There have been various spin-offs but the mainline series has not seen a new release in over a decade. Here then comes the surprise release of Temple Run: Legends.
This new game stays faithful to the core gameplay but builds upon the experience in various ways. Aside from the updated graphics, there are 10 explorers to unlock and play, and 500 levels across multiple locations, including icy mountains, rapid rivers, and more. Experience them through various modes, including the main story and endless modes. It also now has gamepad support if you prefer to play that way.
Complete objectives from the Game Center Achievements and participate in special events to earn more rewards and climb the global leaderboards. Now, as of this writing, the game is not out yet, and there are a few weeks left before its release. Also, this will be exclusive to Apple Arcade subscribers, so make sure to avail of one to play it.
Long awaited sequel
It was a long time coming but a new Temple Run game is finally coming in the form of Temple Run: Legends. This new entry stays true to the classic gameplay but offers more characters to unlock, additional game modes, and stages to take on. The only caveat is that you need an Apple Arcade subscription. Aside from that, this is definitely worth checking out.
